LECTURE

WEEK 2 - In this meeting, we were introduced to composition, the basics includes :

• Vocal point - to help the viewer's eyes to settle on the important piece of your design
• Scale & hierarchy - drawing attention toward and away from certain elements
• Balance the elements - each elements having their own 'weight'
• White spaces - to balance up the main focus of a composition. To help your design to breathe

Rule of thirds and golden ratio are also taught, a daily use of these that many people may not realize is the grid on our phone camera and movies.

Overall, composition consist of different aspects in design that people often look down to. Correspond to the material, we are given our task which is making a physical collage using cut outs from magazines.
