Title : Break trough
I often put myself down and limit myself in fear of people seeing me failing. I grew up in the same social circle for 18 so, I was too comfortable in my comfort zone and always hesitate to try new things.
Now, I start a new life in a new campus miles away from home. New people and new environment to make myself grow more. With this change, I can see myself grow more and more.
Artist Statement :
Hands- representing me limiting myself
B&W background - me leaving the past
Colored background - my current life, being more open and no longer limit myself
Birds - my state of mind, I feel more free now, with a new opportunity and environment.
REFLECTION
I was having a lot of fun doing this project. As we already had a lot of practice with Photoshop, It wasn't a struggle with the software. With, After Effects, I used the puppet tool to make the birds look like they are flapping their wings, it was a nice trial to the new tool. I was having trouble with putting the audio in, as every time I save it, the first few seconds of the audio would distort, fortunately I eventually figure it out.
Overall, I enjoyed the ideation progress, and it was an amazing last exercise for my first semester here!
